Lee Overholt Construction, is a family owned & operated construction company located in Sarasota, FL.
Having grown up in the building/construction industry with many of his family members - owner and founder Lee Overholt spent his younger years working alongside his dad. He was trained from a very early age with a true value of personal, hand-crafted quality in his work and in relationships with his customers. Lee started his construction career in Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1967, prior to moving to Florida in 1981. Lee’s son, Derek teamed up and joined the Lee Overholt Construction team in 2014. Derek, worked in construction summers growing up, learning his craftsmanship & strong values from his father. Derek graduated CumLaude from Savannah College of Art & Design with a double bachelors’ degree. He worked as a creative art director and photographer for 18 years, getting first hand experience, managing and directing for several large corporations. He now continues to work alongside his father Lee every day. Integrity, dependability and hand-crafted workmanship are the cornerstones of Lee Overholt Construction. Lee and his team value building strong relationships with their customers, before, during and after the project is complete. Lee Overholt Construction prides itself on building a large and loyal customer base, with much of their business grown from word-of-mouth referrals! Lee’s business acumen has also allowed their company to surround itself with the most respected trade partners in the area. Lee Overholt Construction’s primary focus is on Residential & Commercial Remodeling, however with their years of experience and excellent trade partners, they also build custom homes, specialty homes and commercial buildings.
